That was probably a pretty stressful night for a lot of those contestants, because all of the top 16 singers were brought out on stage. The top 12 were then announced one at a time, with each finalist immediately having to perform. The eliminated contestants didn't find out that they were eliminateduntil the very end, whenRyan Seacrestcalled the last finalist.
